Lamb, Beef, and Poultry:

I'm very pleased with the products I get from Cedarview Farms. I've been eating beef from Lauren's father, Sherman, for years and the quality is A+ . The meat looks and tastes like real meat. It reminds me of how meat was when I was a child. Isn't it a shame what they sell in stores these days! This past year I started receiving chickens and eggs and I'm delighted with both. You can tell from the taste that these have been fed well. As a cancer survivor, I was so pleased to find a source of "hormone free"
meat, locally grown.

We can't say enough good things about your chickens. The first one we ate was so delicious.

We purchased a lamb from you about 6-8 months ago, and we absolutely loved the flavour...

Wool Mattress Pads and batts:

Just wanted to let you know that I sandwiched that batting between two pieces of muslin last weekend, using the Baptist Fan template, and absolutely LOVE IT! This quilt was intended for my husband, who's always cold, but I slept with it first, and want to keep it to myself (LOL). Not only is it warm, but it seems to 'breathe'. I haven't gotten to hot with it yet, like I do with my down comforter. It's almost impossible to get me out of bed - It's so comfy!!!

Before I progress any further with this message, I would like to emphasize that I am in no way whatsoever affiliated with Cedar View Farms. That said and out of the way, I would like to let all of you know just how much I like this product. In fact, it is now my favourite batting, and is going in all my current personal projects. I came across this accidently when I clicked on one of those yahoo ads that come up on the side of websites especially when trying to google something. Well, I checked out the website several times before I contacted them directly, and eventually ordered two batts that were 90" x 90". I immediately put one into a quilt top that had been a UFO, and it too was 90 x 90. I was pretty scared at first for a couple of reasons. The first being the sizes were the same. But the second was because I thought the batting would be too fragile to work with. NOT! I did use my tack gun, and secured the batting to the top, manipulating it at the edges, and it worked out perfectly. These batts are extremely malleable. I floated the top, with the "grain" (if you can call it that)of the batting parallel to rollers. The weight of the batting helped to hold everything in place. I used a Roclon muslin on the back, and quilted it up with one of my Circle Lord giant templates. The first night I slept under it I didn't even have the binding done. Now this is the important part. My husband loves it as much as I do! He has problems with his feet and ankles, and can't tolerate a lot of weight on them. I have low blood pressure and always go to bed cold, but when the furnace comes on in the morning, I have to throw off everything because my own personal furnace is running even hotter. This quilt is the nicest piece of bedding either of us have ever slept under. It is as lofty as the first time I put it on the bed back in January, and to snuggle under it is, well, I can't think of the right words. Very soothing, not too hot, not too cold, but just like a cocoon. Not too heavy, and not too light. My, I sound just like Goldilocks. Personally I don't anticipate any washing issues. It's all common sense to me. And to date there have been absolutely no fibres coming through the backing. I can also tell you from personal experience, that Lauren (the owner) will answer all your questions. I asked her about the migration issue, and she explained it all to my satisfaction--apparently it has a lot to do with the breed of sheep that is used for the wool. I have an order of six more batts on the way, and several are for customers. Yes, they may be a bit more to work with than yanking it off the roll or pulling it out of the bag, but for what I have been experiencing, it is well worth the effort.
