Wool Batts

line

Our eco-friendly wool batt product is a wonderful way to create a long-lasting, cozy project. The batt can be used to
make duvets, mattress pads, and pillows, or as a filler in a special quilt. Our Suffolk/Dorset cross sheep provide an
excellent grade wool for fiber arts. Unlike other wool products our batts are not treated with resin. Resin is a substance also used in varnishes, and cement, and has been known to cause allergic reactions, as well as various other health concerns. Our wool is processed in the United States, and it is 100% Canadian Wool! Suffolk/Dorset wool is excellent for quilt and bedding purposes as it resists felting, and retains its' springiness even after years of service. It has minimal bearding, as well as minimal shrinkage when washed according to directions.

Our wool was featured in both the Canadian Quilter, and the Unlimited Possibilities Batting review by Debbi Trevino. Debbi continues to feature our batting ar her various speaking engagements. Check out her website to register for an upcoming class!

Quilters will find it "is like pushing a needle through butter" whether using long-arm, or hand. Stitch widths should be no more than 4 inches(10 cm) apart to prevent migration of the wool. The batt is evenly laid out with a 1 inch thickness. Tissue paper separates the layers for easy layout. Exceptional to work with! Check out our references! Many quilters have lovingly created warm, and comfortable wool quilts to be passed on for generations to come.

Dyed Black batting is also available! The colour and texture are absolutely beautiful, and ideal for a darker quilt! The only additional charge is the dying charge! Check out our customer comments for more thrilled customers.
